As long as we're on the topic of taxes, the Wall Street Journal pointed me at the Republican tax plan put out in June 2016. You know, when there was no way PEOTUS Trump could become, well, PEOTUS. The Republican party was willing to take some risks with ideas for tax reform because they too did not believe they'd actually have to make the reforms. Enter "A Better Way Forward." The biggest thing to notice about this is that it proposes a "destination-based" system (p. 15). That will put an end (hopefully) to worldwide taxation of American income, which is a major reason US companies sometimes move overseas and become non-American.
